The Support chair is the centerpiece of our product portfolio. A timeless ergonomic classic featuring a seat and backrest designed by the renowned designer Bruno Mathsson. From the very beginning, the vision was clear: the chair should support the body so naturally and effectively that you never had to think about how you were sitting. It shouldn’t be the reason you got up.
With its iconic and well-thought-out design, the Support chair strikes the perfect balance between ergonomics, freedom of movement, and comfort. The contoured seat is designed to distribute body weight evenly, and the slightly shorter seat helps promote blood circulation during long workdays. The backrest cradles the lower back and supports the body’s natural S-curve, helping you maintain a strong and relaxed posture without strain.
The compact and minimalist design provides great freedom of movement close to the work surface, making the chair as agile as it is comfortable. Thanks to the Free-Float function, the seat and backrest follow your body’s movements as you lean forward or backward, creating a dynamic sitting experience that reduces static strain and keeps your body active throughout the day. To provide maximum individual comfort, both the seat and backrest can be adjusted independently of each other.

Support Design’s high-quality components and
artisanal manufacturing process allow us to
offer a 5-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects on
all of our products.
The warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by:
• Normal wear and tear
• Failure to assemble, install, or maintain the product in accordance with Support Design’s instructions
and guidelines (this includes the use of
substances that may damage the upholstery)
• Fading, discoloration, or natural variations
found in leather and fabric
• Variations in surface materials (such as color fastness or matching grain, textures
and colors across different surfaces)
• Negligence or accident, e.g., tears or cuts
caused by the user.
